About Mediation
What is mediation? People in dispute are able to appoint an independent, trained person (a mediator) to assist them in seeking to resolve a dispute. This is a voluntary and confidential process and very well suited to boundary disputes.
About Mediators
Mediators are independent individuals who have been trained to support the parties in resolving their disputes. They are not judges and do not advise the parties; they are facilitators.
Mediators are often professionals and in the case of boundary disputes, it is common for the mediator to be a solicitor, barrister or surveyor.
